Greenwich Printmakers is bringing handmade, original prints by 24 of our artists to Islington Square for Surface Impressions, our first exhibition outside our own gallery since 2019.
It's free to visit and runs at By Residency in Islington Square from this Tuesday (August 24) to September 5, from 10.30am-6.30pm daily.
At least one of our artists will be at the exhibition each day, so there will always be an expert on hand to answer questions. We’re proud to showcase a selection of our limited edition fine art prints, including etchings, screenprints, linocuts, woodcuts and more. Visitors can see our framed work on the walls or browse through unframed pieces. All work is for sale.
On Sunday, August 29, we will have a Meet the Artists event from 2pm-6pm, with demonstrations and a chance to talk directly to the creators of the prints. Greenwich Printmaker Sally McKay will also be running a drop-in, free, family-friendly drawing activity, the Free Drawing Project, from 2pm-4pm that day.
Islington Square is a new retail and entertainment destination just off busy Upper Street, less than ten minutes’ walk from Angel station. It’s home to independent restaurants, boutique stores and a peaceful, tree-lined boulevard.
